Platform Salon's Cuts for a Cause event was a huge success, and we would like to offer our most sincere thanks to those who contributed to the event and who worked tirelessly to make it happen.
The event, which was held Saturday February 13th at Platform Salon in Wethersfield, raised over $1,500 for Hands On Hartford which includes money from the purchase of haircuts as well as raffle tickets for fabulous prizes. That money will be used as we continue to provide basic needs services for those in need in Hartford and the surrounding areas.
In addition to the generous patrons who walked through the doors to get a haircut and/or purchase raffle tickets, we'd like to thank all of the local businesses who donated their products. Thanks to the following for the edible treats that guests enjoyed: Max Bibo's, Aiello's Kitchen, Spicy Green Bean Deli, Subway, & Modern Pastry Shop.
We would also like to thank the following businesses: GimaSport, for providing snazzy t-shirts with Platform Salon's & our logo as gifts for patrons; and these businesses who provided prizes for our raffle 1) gift cards to: Joey Garlic's, Sidewalk Cafe, Francesco’s Ristorante, Omni Comics & Cards, and Stop & Shop; 2) gift baskets from Studio 3 Dance Center and International Institute of Cosmetology; and 3) a beautiful bouquet of 24 long-stemmed roses from Kim's Flower Shop.
Last, but certainly not least, a HUGE THANKS to Platform Salon, LLC for their generous contribution of time and talent for Hands On Hartford and, ultimately, their community. In return, they put themselves "out there," they met lots of new faces and they were featured in the news. They were featured last weekend on NBC30 / WVIT-TV /
