Partnerships Update
The Hartford Wolf Pack has done it again!

Another year of community building and an astounding food drive is in the books. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to join the Wolf Pack for a food drive which resulted in a donation coming in at over 600 pounds! This collection brought a large variety of canned goods and nonperishables that will now be added to the shelves in our Manna Community Pantry and support the needs of our families. Thanks again to the Wolfpack for welcoming us and coordinating such an awesome event. We look forward to teaming up in the fight against food insecurity again soon!
"Climbing" Into Our Hearts

"Climbing" into our hearts this month are Máire and Matt (pictured here with our Backpack & Pantry Liaison Rodrigo) from Central Rock Gym of Glastonbury, who spearheaded a collection of 230 pounds of nonperishable food for our Community Pantry and Kids' Backpack Nutrition Program! We're so grateful for the generosity of the staff and members of their awesome rock climbing gym!
HOH in Action!
Connecticut CAN End Homelessness!
On February 20, 2025, Stephanie Boyce (Director of Homeless Prevention, Outreach and Food Access) and Dawn Tyson (Outreach Coordinator) attended a press
conference for the inaugural "End Homelessness Caucus." As homelessness rates continue to rise in Connecticut, the efforts of nonprofit organizations play a vital role in saving lives. It is essential that we maintain strong advocacy for prevention, crisis response, and housing solutions. Additionally, we recognize the importance of ensuring that programs across the state are adequately funded and that frontline staff are compensated with living wages. Together, Connecticut CAN End Homelessness.

Faith in Action Spotlight

A huge THANK YOU to Avon Congregational Church, UCC for their generous donation to support the milk costs in our MANNA Community Pantry!
This thoughtful contribution is in honor of Rev. Jennifer McCleery’s birthday—a perfect way to spread love and care throughout our community. This kindness makes a difference, and we’re so grateful for the support of our amazing community members! HOH is wishing Rev. Jennifer McCleery a very happy birthday! Thanks to donations like this, we're able to continue providing fresh produce, milk, eggs, bread, frozen meat, and other essential items to households experiencing food insecurity. We know the need is great, but together, we can do even more! Reach out or donate to help keep our shelves stocked and ready to serve!
