At this time, Gather55 is not accepting new volunteers.

Hands On Hartford created Gather55 with the vision of gathering our entire community together, over delicious food, regardless of the ability to pay. Diners may participate by paying the full posted meal price, a minimum of $3.00, or by choosing to volunteer time at Hands On Hartford. Services staff at Hands On Hartford and partnering agencies have “on the house” meal vouchers to help support those who are not able to pay or volunteer.

Key Volunteer Responsibilities:

Prepare salads, make sauces, chop produce
Bring meals from the kitchen to the dining area
Set up/breakdown/sanitize work stations
Wash dishes using an automatic dishwasher
Work in a busy atmosphere with a diverse population
Follow all ServSafe food handling protocols & Chef instruction
