What an Incredible Evening!
Our annual signature fundraiser, Hands & Hearts Together took place on Friday, September 19th at the Connecticut Convention Center - and what a night it was building bridges and inspiring change!
We're deeply grateful to all our guests, sponsors, and auction donors whose generosity and support made the event such a resounding success.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Magic Soul for their unforgettable opening performance, our charismatic emcee and Hands On Hartford board member Harry Amadasun Jr., our talented videographer, Skylar Haines, and our amazing auctioneer GameDay Conor Geary - each of you played a vital role in making the evening truly special.
We're excited to share a special video from the event. It offers a powerful behind-the-scenes look at our programs and the incredible staff who are at the heart of everything we do.

Partnerships Update

Cummins Inc. Builds Community!
We're grateful to Cummins Inc. for awarding us a $5,000 grant for Customized Service Project, which allowed us to enhance our Community Pantry with new shelving and much-needed food items.
The funding helped improve the shopping experience by making the space more organized and grocer store-like. Nine dedicated Cummins employees volunteered their time to deep clean, assemble shelves, stock food, and connect with our mission - all in just a few hours. We've already received amazing feedback on the pantry refresh.

Let's hear it for Liberty Bank!
This September, Hands On Hartford proudly hosted 40 Liberty Bank employees who assembled 1,000 snack and craft bags for our kids' Backpack Nutrition Program. The kits featured coloring pages, highlighters, stickers, and delicious snacks!
Thanks to Liberty Bank's generosity, from purchasing all supplies and packing the bags, the effort will add over four weeks of enhancements to the 225 backpacks we distribute weekly.

HOH in Action

This past Labor Day, we celebrated community, compassion, and connection by serving a free homemade BBQ meal to 329 guests, including adults, seniors, and children. Special guests like Miss Connecticut Teen USA and volunteers from Immanuel Congregational Church helped make the day even more special. With coverage from three local news stations and fun activities like outdoor games, face painting, and a kids' paint station, the event was full of joy. Huge thanks to our sponsor, Talcott Financial, and the 35 volunteers and 10 staff who made it all possible. Here's to building stronger communities!
