Food:
Community Pantry
Our Community Pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am - 11:30am and 1:15 pm - 5:00 pm.
All Connecticut residents are eligible to receive an emergency food bag. For more information about enrolling in our pantry, please contact us (860-728-3201).
Community Meals
We serve a free dinner for the community every Monday from 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm.
Backpack Nutrition Program
To enroll your child in a Backpack Nutrition Program, please contact your child’s school liaison.

Gather55
Our participation model restaurant, Gather55 welcomes all, regardless of ability to pay. Diners may participate by paying the full posted price of the meals or a minimum price of $3.00 or participate by choosing to volunteer time with Hands On Hartford depending on your ability to pay that day. Our Day Program staff and partner agencies support those who are not able to pay or volunteer.
Breakfast / Lunch Service: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (lunch starts at 11:00 am).
Health:
Hartford HealthCare Neighborhood Health Clinics
Twice a month, Hartford HealthCare operates a daytime health clinic at Hands On Hartford. A variety of health services are offered including, health screenings, immunizations, lab tests, medical referrals, and follow up care.
No appointments required, walk-ins welcome. Insurance is accepted but not required.
When: The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Charter Oak Health Mobile Medical & Dental Van
Charter Oak Health believes that no person should go without medical care because they cannot access a facility. Their mobile medical and dental van features state-of-the-art technology, designed to provide medical, dental, counseling and other health services throughout the city of Hartford, regardless of one's ability to pay.
When: Every Monday from 11:15 am-2:00 pm at Hands On Hartford
Student Nurses from the University of St. Joseph
Twice a week during their semester, student nurses provide free blood pressure and blood sugar checks in our Day Program and Community Pantry.
When: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the months of January through April and September through November

Every Tuesday from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm SMART Recovery meetings are held at Hands On Hartford
SMART Recovery meetings are free self-empowering mutual support group meetings focused on addictive behaviors, including both substance and activity/process addictions, organized and led by trained facilitators.

The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Power In A Shower will be at Hands On Hartford offering free showers and care packages.
