August Guest Chef: Danielle Soto
A Culinary Journey Rooted in Purpose and Passion
This August, Gather55 is honored to welcome Danielle Soto as our Guest Chef of the month. With a deep blend of culinary mastery and a heart rooted in social impact, Danielle is bringing more than just flavor to the table - she's sharing a story.

A Flavorful Way to Give Back
We had a great time tabling at the Yard Goats’ Tacos, Tequila, and Taps event! This lively and fun-filled evening was spent connecting with the community and sharing more about the work we do. We’re especially grateful that a portion of ticket sales will support our mission to serve Hartford’s most vulnerable residents. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this such a meaningful event!
A Thoughtful Gift from HomeGoods!
We’re incredibly grateful to HomeGoods for their generous donation of 600 reusable shopping bags to our MANNA Community Pantry! Each of our pantry participants received a bag during their monthly visit, making it easier (and more fun!) to take their groceries home. This thoughtful contribution added a special touch to the day and brought lots of smiles.

Fourth of July Community Meal!
Our community came together in the best way possible—over great food, sunshine, and lots of laughter! We served 270 meals on the Fourth of July and filled the day with music, games, and a colorful kids' painting corner that delighted both little artists and grown-up creatives alike.
Thank you to everyone who spent their holiday with us at Hands On Hartford. Your time, heart, and helping hands made this celebration unforgettable!
HOH Board Update
Hands On Hartford welcomes eight new members to Board of Directors; elects new Vice Chair
Sending out a big "Thank You" to the Church of St. Peter Claver, West Hartford
We extend our sincere thanks to the Church of St. Peter Claver for their ongoing and impactful support. Every month, they prepare and donate around 200 sandwiches for our homeless outreach team, providing nourishment and care to those in need. This summer, they went even further by hosting a food drive that collected an incredible 636 pounds of pantry items for our community. Their generosity continues to make a real difference, and we’re so grateful for their partnership!

HOH Happenings
Good Food and Great Company
We’re grateful to our Board of Directors for sponsoring one of our Monday Night Dinners and showing up to serve it with heart. They served up 90 plates of fried chicken along with some delicious sides and everyone loved it!
These weekly dinners are a beautiful example of caring in action, and we’re thankful for everyone who helps make them happen.
