Nourishing our neighbors and fostering a healthy community
Our Community is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30am - 11:30am and 1:15pm - 5:00pm
Our Community pantry is a full service shopping model food pantry, allowing clients to choose food that will suit their families’ needs and tastes, minimizing food waste and maximizing nutritional value.
Groceries include non-perishable staples, along with bread, milk, eggs, fresh produce and frozen meat.
Our Community Pantry is also halal friendly: we offer halal meat and label our non-perishable foods that are not halal for easy identification.
All Connecticut residents are eligible to receive an emergency food bag. For more information about enrolling in our pantry, please contact us (860-728-3201).

SWAP Wellness System
Our Community Pantry utilizes SWAP, a spotlight nutrition ranking system designed to promote healthy food choices. We rank foods based on their saturated fat, sodium, and added sugar content and label green (choose often), yellow (choose sometimes), or red (choose rarely) for easy identification of healthy choices.
Health Support
During their school year, student nurses from the University of St. Joseph visit our Community Pantry twice a week and provide basic health screenings including taking blood pressures and checking blood sugar levels.
Community Pantry

Our Community Pantry empowers households with choice and nutrition, offering pantry staples, fresh food, and halal options.
